Steven Brill's The New Yorker piece about the New York teachers union would just be yet another rubber room exposé if it were published in, say, Reason. But this is The New Yorker, the venerable but ever fashionable left leaning magazine of Culture, Art, and Other Associated Snobbery. So here's to yet another rubber room exposé! It's a good one, by the way, with lots of Real Reporting, and meticulously fair to the claims of the union and its allies, yet nowhere quite managing to make them appear sympathetic.
